M.S. Natural Resources, University of Rhode Island, 1997
B.S. Biology and Environmental Studies, Tufts University, 1995

Research Activities:

Watershed Hydrology Laboratory Manager
http://www.uri.edu/cels/nrs/whl/index.html
Kelly Addy’s studies watershed nitrogen dynamics. She has researched nitrogen removal in riparian groundwater, salt marshes, headwater streams and beaver ponds – all with the goal to guide restoration and protection efforts to protect coastal waters from cultural eutrophication. Recent research interests are examining the greenhouse gas contributions from these areas

Outreach Activities:

Kelly Addy is the website content coordinator for the National Water Program (http://www.usawaterquality.org ) and the Northeast States and Caribbean Islands Regional Water Center (http://www.usawaterquality.org/nesci/).
