Roland has been a member of the Environmental Data Center since 1991. During this time he has been providing project support in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). He is responsible for serving the RIGIS database and regional GPS data over the Internet. Currently, he is working to mitigate natural disasters using GIS, providing statewide digital orthophotos over the Internet, and providing technical support to the National Park Service. Roland enjoys using his knowledge of programming in the field of GIS.  In his spare time, he can routinely be found developing software to automate complex processes.
